Position Overview
To drive continued growth and effective organization of our company, we are seeking to fill a position as Senior Software Engineer - Backend.
Responsibilities
- Work on the front lines of a quickly-growing Bitcoin infrastructure startup and lead the design and implementation of Mnemore's cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines
- Develop backend services and features to support large-scale, cloud-based applications
- Craft code that is maintainable and incorporates engineering best practices
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including development, code reviews, testing and production
- Collaborate with product managers to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
- Work closely with other engineering teams to design and deploy cloud infrastructure that supports features and systems
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in computer science or a related technical field or comparable work experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience or 2+ years with an advanced degree
- Software design and development with an object-oriented programming language such as Python, Go, Rust or Java or C++
- Design, document, and implement new web service APIs for internal and external services
- Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
- Experience designing and deploying relational or non-relational databases
- Experience using Linux and comfortable with shell scripting
- Containerization of production software using Docker
- Container orchestration and service deployments using Kubernetes

- Google Cloud Platform expertise
- Leadership experience managing teams and projects
- Experience with functional programming, such as Haskell and Scala
- Bitcoin or fintech industry experience
